Key Action 1 - Vocational Education and Training
Mobility projects in the field of Vocational Education and Training provide an opportunity for technical schools, institutions and organisations active in the field of VET, to receive funding for organising learning mobility activities that contribute to achieving their objectives and their internationalisation.
iVET & cVET definition:
iVET – Initial Vocational Education and Training: General or vocational education and training provided within the initial education system, usually before the beginning of working life. Initial training also includes certain cases of training after the beginning of working life (e.g. retraining). Initial education and training may take place at any level of general or vocational education pathway or apprenticeship (be it full-time school attendance or work-linked training). (Cedefop, 2008)
cVET – Continuing Vocational Education and Training: Education or training that takes place after initial education or integration into work, and which aims to improve or upgrade knowledge and/or competences, to acquire new skills for career change or retraining and continuing personal or professional development. Continuing education and training is part of lifelong learning and can include any type of education (general, specialised or vocational, formal or non-formal, etc.). It is essential for the employability of individuals. (Cedefop, 2004)
