Key Action 1 – Adult Education
Mobility projects in the field of Adult Education provide an opportunity for schools and organisations, active in the field, to receive funding to organise learning mobility activities that contribute to achieving their objectives and their internationalisation.

Opportunities to utilise the programme
Interested parties can apply for funding as sending organisations in the following two ways:
- Short-term projects (6 to 18 months): Mainly for new entrants for the implementation of a small number of mobilities (up to 30 participants).
- Accredited Projects (15 months): For organisations that have received Erasmus Accreditation.
Additionally, specific organisations can participate in the Programme without applying:
- As a member of an existing partnership
- As a host organisation for participants from another country
Eligible participants
A. Agency Staff
- Teachers, trainers and other non-teaching staff and experts (such as administrative staff, volunteers, advisors and policy coordinators) in adult education.
- In all cases, the participant's working relationship with the sending organisation shall be adequately documented.
B. Organisation Trainees
- Learners enrolled in adult education programmes with the sending organisation.
Definition of adult learners
Adult learner
- Any person over the age of 18 who has completed their initial education/training or no longer participates in initial education or training and participates in non-vocational continuing education (formal, non-formal or informal learning). It also concerns people over the age of 18, provided that there are educational opportunities offered to them, or people who return to the education system in search of a second chance in education.
Eligible Organisations
Organisation accreditation
Erasmus Accreditation is a quality certification tool for organisations/schools that enables continuous utilisation of the programme by following simplified procedures throughout the programming period. The application for Accreditation is evaluated qualitatively during its submission, and, if the required criteria are met, the organisation may apply for funding every year for the implementation of its pursued objectives. Applicants for Erasmus accreditation must have at least two years of experience in the field.
Types of Accreditations:
*It is not possible to apply for both types of Accreditation in the same field.
Specific parameters are taken into account when allocating funds to accredited organisations. More information
